Is there an author in the house?

newsboy-paperboy-boy-person-newsOkay – I may have just left a big clue about my age. 🙂

I am pleased to announce that I have signed a contract with Liquid Silver Books to publish my debut novel, What the Duke Wants!  We are scheduled for an early 2015 release.   I’ll post details about the book, the release date, and pre-ordering links when they become available.

I am so thankful to my family and friends who have supported me along the way.  I am very, very fortunate.  Specifically, I ‘d like to thank:

My husband, who made it possible for me to be at home and who put up with a lot of late nights and messy house days while I wrote… and wrote and wrote and wrote…  Thank you.  (But let’s not tell anyone that this is only an excuse for the messy house, and that I’m normally that way anyway.)

My mother-in-law, Hilary Quinton, who spent months here listening to me talk out ideas and plot points, then reviewed and critiqued and reviewed so more.  Thank you. (I finally swept up the remains of your brains from the porch floor and saved them for your next visit.)

My kids, who believed in me, albeit impatiently, every step of the way.  Thanks, babies.  (They only thought it official on the day my business cards came in.  Who knew it was that easy to become an author?)

My friends, who reviewed it, believed in it and me, and helped raise my spirits when I doubted myself.  Thank you.  (I still use my fingerless gloves to keep my perpetually cold hands warm while I write.)

I’d like to thank the academy -… er, no, wait, wrong dream…

Amy Quinton, Author of Historical Romance

(I have to admit that I’m tickled to be able to say that)
